Well, it's almost official . . . The application is complete and all we need is the District Governor's signature. However, we still need some information from some of our members.  Look for an e-mail to all members with a how to supply this information via an online form shortly.

Stan Myers introduced this week's speaker, Ron Nelson from the Grand Foundation. Ron has been the President of the Grand Foundation for 4 years. He is also the Vice-President at Grand Mountain Bank.

The Grand foundation is celebrating its 10th year! Way-to-go guys!

Jerry Grosworld started the Columbine Foundation in 1996. The foundation changed its name to the Grand Foundation in 2001 to highlight the fact that they serve all of Grand County - from Kremmling to Grand Lake to Winter Park. The Grand Foundation has granted over $750,000 to more than 90 Grand County organizations.  Grand Foundation fundraising started with the sale of transferable ski passes, which were made available through donations from Winter Park Resort, SolVista Basin at Granby Ranch, Snow Mountain Ranch YMCA of the Rockies and the Fraser Valley Metropolitan Recreation District - Pole Creek Golf Club.  Other fundraising events include The Parade of Homes, the $600 Dinner at Devils Thumb Ranch, the Grand Gala and the Grand Classic Golf Tournament. The proceeds are used to enhance the quality of life for the community and visitors in Grand County in the areas of Arts & Culture, Health & Human Services, Education, Environment and Amateur Sports.

The following list is just some of the organizations that the Grand foundation has helped over the years.
