For
this reason, Rotary Foundation recently received a
$100-million
matching grant from the Gates Foundation and has just started a fund
raising campaign to create "dollar for dollar" matching
donations.
Note that this
$100 Million dollar "polio eradication grant" is one of the largest
matching grants
ever given by the Gates Foundation--and it's the largest grant received
by Rotary in its 102-year history.
This matching grant has focused Rotarians from around the world on the
process of funding as many "matching fund donations" at
they can over the next three years.
SO.. Every Club and every member needs to contribute to the matching
effort--either by direct contribution or by fundraising..
